Cassondra “Cassie” Christman, a volunteer at Maui Humane Society who wears many hats, loves working with animals — dogs in particular. Christman has used her own social media platform to advocate for adopting and fostering furry friends, in addition to sharing the organization’s needs from wishlists for specific pets to relocating dogs from Molokai and Lānaʻi.

Maui Humane Society saves dogs from Wailuku blaze; urges pet prep
On Sunday, July 13, at approximately 2 p.m. three Maui Humane Society Humane Enforcement Officers (HEO) responded to the scene to find three large dogs. The three large dogs were carried across the Wailuku River and trudged up the embankment by Maui Police Department officers, where HEO accepted the dogs on the other side of the river.

Maui Humane Society selected for national lost pet technology pilot program
The Maui Humane Society is always looking for ways to reunite stray animals with their owners. Now the organization has been selected as one of 25 shelters around the country to participate in a program called Network Neighbors to help more lost pets get back home.
