The Maui News: Animal shelter waives March adoption fees
The Maui Humane Society has waived adoption fees for the month of March. Additionally, those who adopt a shelter animal this month will receive a $10 gift certificate to Choice Health Bar, which has locations in Paia, Lahaina and Whaler’s Village in Kaanapali.

Groove to the DJ spinning poolside tunes, sip on craft cocktails, make a haku lei flower crown for your pet & bid on cool stuff at the silent auction… all this while you watch the sunset melt into the ocean. All proceeds benefit Maui Humane Society.

KHON2: Maui rescue pup, Elua, goes to Puppy Bowl XIX
Rescue dogs are overcrowding the Humane Societies of Maui and O’ahu. Whether it is because of apartments that are not pet-friendly or because a family is moving and unable to bring a part of their family with them, the shelters are in crisis. But, one rescue puppy has an amazing and inspiring story. Elua, a rescue puppy from Maui, has been selected to represent Hawai’i in Puppy Bowl XIX.

Maui Humane Society is in urgent need of SOS Fosters for 105+ of their dogs. As their kennels only hold 40 dogs, the community can help by becoming an SOS Foster, which is completely free, all supplies provided and no experience needed.

Maui Now: With 500+ animals, the Maui Humane Society is looking to Empty the Shelters
With more than 500 animals in their care, the Maui Humane Society is seeking individuals and families who would like to adopt a new pet. While the shelter is waiving all adoption fees for Empty The Shelters July 11 -31st; it will accept donations. The waiver excludes county fees and licensing for dogs. Adoptable pets include: dogs, cats, kittens, guinea pigs, and rabbits.
Maui News: Shelter to hold free vaccine clinic after rabbit disease found on Maui
The Maui Humane Society will offer a free vaccine clinic for rabbits from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. July 23 after the first case of a viral rabbit disease was discovered on the island last month.
